According to a report from Persistence Market Research in the US (see http://embedded-computing.com/news/voip-5-by-2024-globally/), the global VoIP reseller market was worth $85.9 billion in 2015 and is expected to grow to a colossal $194.5 billion by 2024. That’s a compound annual growth rate (CAGR, in other words, the average growth per year) of 9.5%.
Of course, the UK is only a small part of that but all the same, the numbers are staggering and the growth rate here is likely to be higher because really, we have only just got started here, so there could not be a better time to become a VoIP reseller.
The popularity of VoIP is being driven inexorably forwards by the benefits it offers – low running costs, greater flexibility and minimal management overheads. The momentum has been maintained and added-to by improving availability of higher-bandwidth broadband services, and with major companies now rolling out fibre-based services across the UK, there is no sign of this slowing down.
But it’s the scale of the opportunity that is so astounding; if they are even close to being accurate, the market in four years time will be more than twice the size it is today. And in our view, that could be a conservative estimate. On top of the growth in VoIP, there will be considerable potential to add more services. Providing VoIP will establish your business as the primary supplier of connectivity and hosted services. This is why it’s so important to get on board now and establish your business as a bona-fide VoIP reseller.
Establish yourself as a VoIP supplier partner today and you will reap the rewards in the future.
